This is a collection of photographs sent by KL reporters as they cover news in an unusual time of the year in the hinterland: the short lived rainy season .
It all started with the heavy monsoon clouds looming over Mahoba over the weekend
The oncoming downpour seeped every nook and corner across homes,courtyards, floors and roofs…..
to the fields where the farmer impatiently awaits to sow the rice crop, even as the long wait for water and the rains have ended.
The wait for collecting the daily quota of drinking too too remains , rain or shine.
Even towns and cities aren’t exempt from rain-related slowdowns;
Animals, men and machines have to ply slowly …
For its not just the potholes..
but also the blocked drains that makes water flood homes and gullies.
But there’s always the cheer of high speed internet to watch live cricket matches while waiting for chai
Or just the warmth of rainy day snacks.
